About DerryGenWeb: This website is adoptable by a volunteer researcher who lives in Derry or nearby with access to copyright free local records to transcribe and post on this website. If interested, please contact admin. About Admin: My grandmother Owen said the Owen families came from both Wales and North Ireland. After arrival time in America, place not known, they settled in Smith County, Tennessee, then in the 19th century moved to Missouri and part of the families moved from there on to Arkansas and Oklahoma. I maintain a family website which catches everything I learn about these Owen families. If you have Owen ancestors from Wales or North Ireland, I will if permitted post your information to the Most Wanted Owen website. We have separate pages for each country and/or state. Don Kelly Owen Rutledge. http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~donkelly/OWEN/index.htm About Derry: Derry is the longest continuously inhabited places in Ireland. The earliest references date to the sixth century when a monastery was founded here, but for thousands of years after the last ice age people lived here. |

Submit your surname; what part of Derry they came from, dates if known, and where they went from there.
This index page and 14 tables were published by Doctor Diane Hanson. These records were donated to IGP in 2002 on condition that we display them. The index was last updated in 1998 so secondary links are broken, but the tables still point to records that could still be useful.
Need volunteers to coordinate these new projects. Census Records Family Records Parish Records Cemetery Records
