Civil Registration

- A wonderful site for family historians researching their Irish ancestors. All birth records from 1864 to 100 years ago have been digitized and are free to view and download. Some of the later marriage and death records can also be downloaded. For records that are not available on-line, see the links below for GRONI and GRO.
- General Register Office - Northern Ireland (GRONI - $)
- An online service for searching and ordering civil registration records for the Counties of Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Londonderry and Tyrone. To search the records online, you must register for an account. Credits to view the records can be purchased for £0.50 each (to a maximum of 200). Certificates can also be ordered.
- General Register Office of Ireland (GRO - $)
- An alternative online service for purchasing photocopies of civil registration certificates for the six counties of Northern Ireland (1845/1864-1921).
