Ryan jim.ryan@circa.ie June 29, 2025 ___________________________________ Poor List For Several Parishes (Coi), County Wexford, Ireland This is a list of 55 poor people receiving support from the Church of Ireland parishes of Killinick, St. Iberius, Maglass, and Kilmacree and Killaine, Co. Wexford. It was extracted from a register of the Killinick Parish for the period 1804 to 1820, although payments were apparently made to poor in the surrounding parishes. The lists only cover payments made in the years 1813, 1817 and 1820. The register is in the National Archives of Ireland (ref M 5063). The payments made range from 1 shilling and 8 pence to 10 shillings per person. The years in which payments are made is indicated below e.g. 1817, 1820 means that payments were made in both of these years. Other notes (e.g. not in parish) are also indicated with the date. Note that some of these recipients were probably Catholic as the Church of Ireland commonly assisted all poor in a parish.
