1798 RISING, CALENDAR OF PROTESTANT PRISONERS
The following is a copy of what is called a calendar of the
protestant prisoners in Wexford when in possession of the
Rebels. The original, composed by a kind of judicial body,
not improperly denominated the Bloody Committee, which, on
the 20th of June, sat in the gaol, is deposited in the
Library of the University of Dublin. (This Book was written
in 1801).
Of the following characters places before the names of the
prisoners.
A-Is supposed to signify accused.
B-Condemned to be killed on the Bridge.
C-Charged.
F-Is totally uncertain as to its signification.
R-Supposed to denote rogue or revenue-officer.
T-Tomorrow, a respite of execution till next day.
V-Not rationally conjectured as to its meaning.
