Here lye the bodyes of Peter MARSH, of Moyalley, who
departed this life August 9th 1736, aged 61 years, also of
Warburten MARSH who departed March the 3rd 1761, aged 61
years, also of Mrs Ellen MARSH, alias HOMAN, wife of Peter
MARSH, of Ballinaminton.
[Died, suddenly, as sitting on horseback at Athlone Races,
Warburton MARSH, of the King's County, Esq. ["Exshaw's
Magazine. 29 Aug., 1761.]
Here lieth the body of Peter LUSK, who departed this life
August 9th, aged 7 years, 1729.
This tomb was erected by Timothy FAHEY in memory of his
father Owen FAHEY, who departed this life April 16, 1783,
aged 61 years.
God have mercy on the Soul of Thomas HUGHES, who died 7
March 1799, aged 77 years.
Beneath this stone lye the remains of John HENDERSON, of
Faheran, Esq. and Catherine HENDERSON, otherwise PYE, his
wife, with their second and third sons John and Thomas, and
other young children. Also Mary HENDERSON, otherwise DALTON,
wife of Joseph HENDERSON, of Hollymount, eldest son of said
John and daughter of Peter DALTON, of Ballinlough, in the
County of Tipperary, Esq. and Thomazine JUDGE, of
Ballysheil, otherwise DALTON, and Joseph HENDERSON, and some
daughters, who all died young, with two grandchildren Mary
MEDLICOTT and James MEDLICOTT, son and daughter of Hercules
MEDLICOTT, and Thomazine HENDERSON, alias MEDLICOTT.
[It is remarkable that there should be no date on this
stone. Joseph HENDERSON married Mary DALTON in 1764, so it
was probably erected some years subsequently.]
O Lord have mercy on the Soul of John MAGENNIS, who departed
this life July 1812, aged 27 years.
O Lord have mercy on the Soul of Owen KILMURRY, who departed
this life Nov. 2nd 1796, aged 68 years. Erected by his son
Bryan KILMURRY.
Altar tomb:
This monument was erected by John MOORE, in memory of his
Father Samuel MOORE, who departed this life July 14th 1798,
aged 95 years. Also his mother Catherine MOORE, alias KELLY,
who departed January 19th, 1800, aged 80 years. May they
rest in Peace.
Pray for the Soul of David McKOWEN, who departed this life
Jan. 27th, 1787, aged 40 years.
Here lie the remains of William KERANS, eldest son of Lyons
KERANS, who departed this life 10th day of October 1821,
aged 24 years.
Pray for the Soul of Lawrence LUSK, who departed this life
July 3rd 1735, and in the 56th year of his age.
Here lie the remains of William GRIFFITH, of Clonshanny, who
departed this life January 15, 1825, aged 64 years. Erected
by his wife Anne GRIFFITH.
Here lie the remains of William GRIFFITH who departed this
life July 12, 1802, aged 75 years. Also his wife Mary
GRIFFITH, alias FINNAMORE, departed this life Sept. 12,
1782, aged 45 years. Erected by their son Christopher
GRIFFITH.
This tomb is erected by Matthias McMANUS in memory of his
son James McMANUS, who departed this life August 1798, aged
22 years. Also his wife Jane McMANUS who departed this life,
October 28, 1818, aged 67 years.
Altar tomb Erected by Laughlin CLAVIN, of Lehinch, in
memory of his beloved Brother James CLAVIN, who departed
this life Oct. 27, 1853.
Here lieth the remains of Anne BREADY, who departed this
life 23rd day of December 1802, aged 62 years. And also her
husband Michael BREADY.
Pray for Soul of Margaret KEYS, who departed this life May
the 3rd 1737, aged 48 years, also her daughter ___ KEYS.
Pray for the Soul of Michael GRINNAN, who died November 27,
1769, aged 23 years.
This tomb is erected to the memory of Malachy TRACY, of
Meldrim, who departed this life 22nd day of June 1816, aged
74 years. May his Soul rest in Peace, Amen.
Altar tomb - This tomb is erected by Thomas MARTIN of
Grieve, in memory of his son Patrick, who died on the 9 June
1830, aged 8 years.
Erected by Thomas DALY in memory of his beloved mother Ellen
DALY, alias CRONLY who departed this life June 10, 1818,
aged 68 years.
Erected by Malachy LYNAM, and brothers, of Donore, in memory
of their beloved Father Malachy DALY, who died May 2nd 1858,
aged 80 years. May he rest in Peace, Amen.
O Lord have mercy on the Soul of Anne CONWAY, who departed
this life July 22nd 1847, Aged 38 years. Erected by her
affectionate husband Thomas CONWAY.

Sacred to the memory of Arthur Greenham Esq. who departed
this life the 14th of December 1829 aged 56 years who served
in his Majesty's Regt. of 13 Lt. Dr. for 26 years as Quarter
aster also in the 10th & 3d R.C. v. Bats as Ensign. This
stone was erecd. as a small tribute to his Distinguished
worth and excellency by his Disconsolate Widow Margaret
Greenham alias Stanley. He was an affectionate Husband and
tender Father. The memory of the just is blessed.

Sacred to the memory of Lieut. Richd. Fitzgd Ring 68th Regt.
Lt. Infy. who died at Shannon Bridge the 13th May 1831 aged
25 years. This stone was placed by the dedire of his
afflicted Widow who mourns but not as those without hope.

Sacred to the memory of Huddleston Bulter, who died April
11th 1832 aged 56 years. Requiescat in pace. Amen.

Sacred to the memory of William Cummin gunner and driver in
L. Colonel N. Wildes Co. 8th Batt Royal Artillery who died
on the 12. November 1836 aged 31 years. This Stone is
erected by his comrades as a mark of their regards for him.

Sacred to the memory of Gunner Archibald Murray of the Royal
Artillery who died March 21, 1840 aged 24 years. Also
Gunner Arthur Corr of the Royal Artillery who died May 17th
1839 aged 32 years. St. John 11th chap. 25. 26 verses.

Sacred to the memory of David Denny of Athlone who depd.
this life deservedly regrettd 4th of December 1841. His
conduct throughout life proved him an affectionate husband a
good father and an honest man. He served in her Majestys
68th Regt of foot for 30 years and 2 months and was honoured
with a silver medal and 15pounds gratuity. This tomb was
erecd. by his beloved wife Mary Denny. He was aged 49
years. Also to the memory of his son Edward Denny who
departed this life December 17, 1812 aged 13 years.

Emery (who was sovrn. in 1698, see address to James ii. He
was cloth merchant and his name appears in Journal of House
of Commons in 1698) who departed this life the ... day of
May anno Domini 1721.

Here Lyeth ye Body James K...n who deparde ye 6 1720 & yr of
his age.

Jacob Jaques departed this life April the 28th 1722 and in
ye ninety fifth year of his age.
Jaques was an inn-keeper at Athlone at the time of the
siege. His name appears in the list of attainted
Protestants in King's "State of Irish Protestants." His
name Jacob Jaques is in an address to James ii, in 1684, and
in Hearth Money Return for 1665 appears as Joseph Jaques.
