ASSORTED WATERFORD WILLS - PT 2

DOWER

Will of Robert DOWER, Brewer,:- to be buried with his father 
in the Churchyard of Ring; his children Robert, Honora, 
Edward, Catherine, Margaret, Eleanor, John and William to 
get equal fortunes out of his property, reserving to his son 
John his freehold property on attaining twenty-one years; 
profits of his share of Fair Lane Brewery to be funded for 
the benefit of his children; "I appoint my brother John 
Dower and my sister's son Andrew CARBERY my executors with 
full power of control over my children: Died 28.11.1830. 
Will proved 24.9.1831 by Robert DOWER eldest son, the two 
executors having renounced. Effects sworn under ₤3230

Will of Edward DOWER, Shanakill,:- leaves all to his wife 
Catherine DOWER alias O'BRIEN, with power to dispose as she 
thinks fit among his children. Died_.5.1837. Effects sworn 
under ₤3230

Will of John DOWER, Barrack St. Waterford,:- mentions his 
wife Ellen DOWER alias QUIRKE; his brother Patrick DOWER, 
living at St. John's, Newfoundland; his sisters Margaret, 
married to James McCARTHY and Ellen married to Edmund KELLY, 
and Johanna married to Michael KEILY. Died 15.5.1841

dated 18.1.1800 mentions daughters Catherine SILVESTER (?) 
and Mary SILVESTER, son William and daughter Ann, "pay 
honour and respect to your mother in law Catherine SEXTON 
alias BROWN;"; executors daughter Catherine, and living 
friend and cousin James GAFFNEY. Probate to Catherine 
DUNFORD alias GAFFNEY, wife of Daniel DUNFORD, Wine 
Merchant, daughter and sole surviving executor, 29.10.1825.

HENEBERY

Will of Richard HENEBERY, Killowen, no date,:- to elder son 
Philip one half of lands at Mount Bolton ("now my Brother 
William's and _ine) provided "he live with my brother 
William; to younger son Thomas one half of ₤400 in the hands 
of Revd. Peirse POWER, Waterford. He died 25.9.1831

FANNING Will of Joseph FANNING, Solicitor, Waterford, dated 
1.9.1835:- all to wife Kate FANNING alias GIBBONS "for our 
dear little children __n Henry FANNING and William FANNING; 
Henry DOWNES and John MEADE (?) Executors. Probate to widow 
4.10.1835.

CURTIS Will of Stephen CURTIS, dated 31.1.1837:- 1/- to son 
Joseph Knox CURTIS he having been provided for by his 
grandfather Joseph KNOX; mentions wife Elizabeth CURTIS 
alias KNOX, son Stephen, daughter Mary. He died 4.2.1837. 
Will proved by widow 17.5.1837

KEATING Will of Ann KEATING late of Waterford now of 
Brighton,spinster, dated 13.4.1838:- one quarter of all "my 
father James KEATING died possessed of to Edward HEARNE, 
Brighton. clerk; property by deed of _.1822 between Thomas 
HEARNE, M.D., Waterford and Ann KEATING. Proved 20.6.1840 by 
Edward HEARNE, Brighton.

Will of Peter WHITE, Maltster, John Street, Waterford, dated 
28.12 1840:- mentions sons Richard, John, Michael, Mark; 
daughters Margaret, Mary, Johanna, Ann. Eleanor; trustees:-
