BURIALS AT ST. PATRICK'S CHURCHYARD FROM 1723 TO 1855

These burial records were taken from the burial records
housed at Christ Church Cathedral.	The records were taken
directly from the manuscripts, so spelling and grammer may
differ slightly from the spelling and grammer we use today.
The burial records show that the year ends last day of March
and the new year begins April first. For convienience we
started the year in todays terms at January first. This is
the only alteration to the records we have made while
compiling these records.

The register of burials at St. Patrick's Churchyard stopped
suddenly on September 28th 1849 and resumed almost one year
later on October 25th 1850. There is no reason given for
this break in the burial records. It is not apparent whether
burials stopped altogether for this period but the original
records at Christ Church Cathedral do not seem damaged or
tampered with. Although the large amount of burials which
took place in the previous years in such a small area of
land may have some baring on this. This record will resume
as they are in the original record.
