Prerogative in Ireland
In the Name of God Amen I Micheal McDonough of
Tateraconaghty in the parish of Cappagh Farmer being sick
and weak of body but of sound mind and perfect memory Do
make this my last Will and Testament in manner following viz
first I bequeath my soul to God who gave it to me in hopes
of pardon through a merciful Saviour Secondly as to my
worldly property I dispose of as follows After paying all my
just debts I allow and bequeath to my son John McDonough my
houses and farm goods and chattels where I reside in the
Town of Tateraconaghty in a clear and ample manner together
with the sum of seven hundred pounds sterling which I have
in the Bank of England I also will and bequeath to my lawful
daughter Eliza McDonagh the sum of two hundred pounds
sterling subject to the advice of my Executors in disposing
of herself in marriage And I also allow her ten pounds a
year during the period she may remain in the house with her
brother or until she is married I bequeath to my daughter
Saragh the sum of one shilling as my son John being a minor
at present I deem it more prudent to allow him only the sum
of ten pounds yearly until he arrives at full age twenty one
years and to this Will I appoint the Reverend Thomas Taggart
Catholick Curate of Cappagh and Charles Donnelly of
Termuraty to be my Executors and to see my last wishes
fairly executed and I also allow all manner of business and
transactions of dealings hereafter to be done or performed
by my son John and also my daughter Eliza to be done by the
advise of my Executors and I now publish and pronounce this
to be my last Will and Testament revoking all other Wills
made heretofore by me whereunto I now affix my name and seal
this 30th day of December in the year of our Lord 1851 one
