BUSHELL, EDWARD OF POWERSTOWN

"Below is an extract of Edward BUSHELL of Powerstown's 
Probate which I found in a Local Solicitor's Office here as 
promised." 

In the name of God, ahmen, I Edward BUSHELL of Powerstown in 
the County of Tipperary and so on ... I am seized and 
possessed of a freehold estate and lands at Powerstown, I 
leave and bequeathe the said lands to my Great Nephew, John 
BUSHELL third son of my nephew Edward BUSHELL of 
Ballyvaughan and to his heirs subject to payment of my debts 
and legacies herein after mentioned and that in six months 
afer my death dispose of all my household goods, stock and 
worldly substance whatsoever by public cant to the best and 
fairest bidder.

I bequeath to my beloved Grandniece, Mary BUSHELL daughter 
of my nephew, Edward BUSHELL of Ballyvaughan the sum of a 
hundred pounds sterling.  I leave and bequeath to said Mary 
BUSHELL's two sisters, Elizabeth and Anne, fifty pounds 
sterling each. I leave and bequeath to my beloved niece Mary 
BUSHELL daughter of my brother Ralph BUSHELL of the City of 
Limerick the sum of thirty pounds sterling.  I bequeath to 
Ralph, son of the said Ralph BUSHELL, ten pounds sterling to 
each of them and to Elizabeth his second daughter the sum of 
ten pounds sterling.

I leave to my kinsfolk, James CARSHORE, the sum of thirty 
pounds sterling, also to John CARSHORE the sum of thirty 
pounds, two shillings and six pence sterling;  to William 
CARSHORE the sum of ten pounds sterling, all sons of Robert 
CARSHORE of Carrick on Suir. I leave to Margaret ANDERSON, 
widow sister to Ralph BUSHELL, I bequeath        to Mary 
CAHILL wife of Thomas CAHILL the sum of ten pounds 
sterling. 

I leave and bequeath to William, third son of my nephew John 
RUSSELL of Galbooly the amount of fifteen pounds sterling.  
Whereas I have notes of John RUSSELL, son of said John 
RUSSELL of Gabooly to the amount of fiftyfive pounds 
sterling, the amount of said notes when recovered I leave 
and bequeath in gavel, between the children of John RUSSELL 
of Gabooly the elder;                        and whereas I 
have lent money to my niece Elizabeth BUSHELL, alias DORAN, 
widow the sum of twenty three pounds sterling, now I remit 
the said sum of twenty three  pounds sterling. Whereas I 
have a bond on John EDGARTONS on a deed of sale of his house 
in Thurles, now I order said bond and deed to be given up 
when my executors shall think proper. I leave and bequeath 
to Joan MAHONY, my servant maid, the sum of thirty pounds 
and to Bridget FINN, said Joan's daughter the sum of five 
pounds sterling.

I do and constitute and appoint my dear and beloved friend 
George LOYD of the Town of Clonmel my sole executer.
