SOME COUNTY TIPPERARY INQUESTS - 1832

27-1-1832 Rev. Irwin Whitty, Parish of Golden, Died in 
consequence of the wounds and injuries which he received on 
the head the evening of Wed. 25th inst., inflicted by some 
person or persons unknown.

28-1-1832 Michael Markley, Golden, Killed from a fall from a 
horse.

15-2-1832 William Edmonds, Kilfeacle, Died from injuries 
inflicted on him at a hurling on Sunday evening the 12th 
inst, by a person or persons yet unknown.

7-3-1832 Timothy Slattery, Solihidmore, Visitation of God.

16-3-1832 John Green, Kilpatrick Died from the effects of a 
wound, which he received on the night of the 14th inst from 
one of a party of five men, yet unknown.

30-3-1832 Thomas Keify, Tipperary. Died from exhaustion and 
inanition on the 28th inst.

24-4-1832 W. Carew, Tipperary. Died of apoplexy brought on 
by excessive drinking.

2-5-1832 Michael Lahy, Donohill, Died of apoplexy brought on 
by the over use of liquor.

17-5-1832 Margaret Cane, Clonbeg. Visitation of God.

2-7-1832 Edmund Clifford, Donohill. Died from gunshot wounds 
inflicted on him by a party of four men, on Sunday evening 
the 1st July, at the house of Nicholas Scholfield, of 
Alleen, which wound caused instantaneous death.

inflicted on him by a party of four men, on Sunday evening 
the 1st July, at the house of Nicholas Scholfield, of

5-7-1832 John Dooly, Solihidmore, Died from wounds inflicted 
on him by John Byrne, and John Cormick, both of Ulla, on the 
1st. inst.

23-7-1832 Patrick Robinson, Tipperary. Fall from a horse.

26-8-1832 William Shea, Ardmayle, Died from the effects of 
two gun shot wounds and a fractured skull, inflicted by two 
persons, yet unknown, on Saturday afternoon, the 25th August 
inst.

1-9-1832 William Joyce, Killadriffe, Died of injuries 
accidentally received when in company with one John Begley, 
a drunken horse rider, and he died from those injuries the 
morning of the 1st. Sept.

25-9-1832 Rhody Morrissey, Bansha, Died from injuries 
inflicted on him by William Ryan, of Bansha, aided and 
assisted by Thomas and Christopher Ryan, Dennis Hayes, and 
Charles Byron, and others yet unknown.

26-9-1832 Maurice Fitzgerald, Emly. Died from wounds 
inflicted on him on the 24th inst., by persons yet unknown.

8-10-1832 Michael Connors, Cordangan, Died from injuries 
inflicted on his head on Monday night, by persons yet 
unknown.

18-10-1832 William Cosgrove, Ulla, Died of the injuries he 
received on the night of the 29th of Sept. by one William 
Ryan and William Meany, those injuries were slight, deceased 
walked six miles to Tipperary, had a operation performed, 
which operation produced inflammation of the brain and 
caused his death on the 18th Oct.

18-10-1832 Bridget Cahill, Tipperary. Visitation of God.

13-12-1832 Michael Brien, Cappagh. Died from excessive 
drinking and inclemency of the weather.

22-12-1832 Edmund Walshe, Clonbeg, Garrett Fleming, Clonbeg, 
In these two cases the jury would not agree, the 
investigation took five days. I bound over the jury to 
appear at the following assizes, where they were obliged to 
attend during the assizes. These two men, the deceased, were 
shot by a party of military, who were affording protection 
to the Hon. Mr. O'Grady, and John Low, Esq. when returning 
from the Limerick election.

23-12-1832 John Ryan, Artnacarty, Kilenemanah. Died from 
injuries inflicted on him by Thomas and Connor Moore, 
William Quinlan, and Michael Hagan, on the 19th and he died 
on the 21st.
