HARMON, ELLEN SEPTEMBER 8, 1908

Transcription: Mrs. Ellen Harmon, widow of the late Thomas 
Harmon died at the home of her son, James H. Harmon, after a 
short illness, aged 72 years.  

The deceased was well and favorably known in this city 
(Woodsdale, Ohio) where she had many friends who will be 
sorry to hear of her death.  For years with her husband and 
family she lived in Monroe during which time she was a 
frequent visitor in this city.  She was born in the county 
of Tipperary Ireland coming to this country at the age of 
fourteen and has been a resident of this county for the past 
fifty-eight years.  Three sons are left to mourn the loss of 
this noble woman: James H. Harmon of Woodsdale, Thomas 
Harmon of Hamilton, and Edward Harmon, of Monroe, who with a 
host of friends mourn at the bier of one they love who was 
ever kind and gentle to those who were around her.  

The funeral services will be held from the Catholic church 
at Monroe Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock when Rev. Father 
Myerhoeffer will celebrate a Requiem mass after which the 
body will be interred in Calvary cemetery in this city.

Ellen Quinlisk departed the port of Liverpool, England on 
the ship "New Hampshire", arriving in New York on 9 Jul

It is believed that she met her husband Thomas Harmon in 
Ohio and that he was from County Kilkenney in Ireland.
