TIMOTHY RYAN VS THOMAS QUINLAN
From the Nenagh Guardian April 29th 1876.
THURLES PETTY SESSIONS.
Timothy RYAN summoned Thomas QUINLAN for assaulting him on
the 18th inst.
Mr. Pennefather appeared for the defendant.
Complainant on being sworn, stated that both of them were in
the employment of Mr. CALLANAN, of Dovea. On being
questioned respecting the assault, it took him at least 10
minutes to come to the point, his story was spun out to such
an extent, his original manner in relating it also created
much amusement, the assault arose out of a contradiction
between the parties, as to which was the proper way to sow
plants.
The case was dismissed.
