OLD CHURCH, TEMPLEMORE 

'The tombs are all of the altar style and in ordinary 
characters in the WILLINGTON enclosure.  The enclosure is 
attached to the E. wall of the church and S. wall of the 
CARDEN enclosure.' Eccl. ii 1

"Here lies the remains of John WILINGTON Esq. of Killoskehan 
who departed this life April 15th 1835 aged 65 years"

"To the memory of Major Jonathan WILLINGTON who died Nov. 
20th, 1835 aged 62 years"

"Here lies the remains of Mrs. Bridget WILLINGTON who 
departed this the 22nd day of Febry, 1858 aged 83 years.  As 
a small tribute of gratitude to the best of parents"

"Jane Anne E. WILLINGTON of Killoskehan departed this life 
on the 17th of May 1812 aged 24.  By grace through faith in 
Jesus Christ she was enabled"  &c. [John ii. 24]

"Sacred to the memory of Bridget wife of Honble Charles 
Joseph Kelly MONCK of Bellville and daughter of John 
WILLINGTON of Killoskehan who departed this life the 22nd 
day of January 1843 aged 63 years.  Also sacred to the 
memory of her husband Cha: Jo: KELLY VISCOUNT MONCK who died 
Ap. 20 1849 aged 58 years."

"To the memory of George BENNETT, Esq., of Bellville who 
departed this life on the 23rd day of Oct. 1817 in the 69th 
years of his age.  This stoned erected by his wife Mary 
BENNETT"

"To the memory of Mary BENNETT relique (sic) of George 
BENNETT and eldest daughter of the late John WILLINGTON of 
Killoskehan who departed this life the 28th day of Dec. 1823 
aged 56 years"

"Here lies the remains of Ormsby WILLINGTON Esq. of 
Killoskehan and formerly a Lieutenant in the 4th Highlanders 
who departed this life upon the 8th day of March 1855 aged 
38 years. Sincerely and most deeply regretted"  [John vi.

"Sacred to the memory of Anne Lydia the beloved wife of 
Theobald WILLINGTON, who died 21st day of Dec. 1847 aged 54 
years. Also to his two sons William who died Aug. 30th, 1839 
aged 8 years; and John who died Augt. 15th, 1845 aged 16 
years"

"Sacred to the memory of Theobald Butler WILLINGTON Esq. of 
Richmond House, son of John WILLINGTON, Esq. of Killoskehan 
in this County who died the 10th of Aug. 1858 aged 67 years. 
also to the memory of his son, Jonathan James who died the 
2nd of Oct. 1855 aged 20 years" [ I John i.7: Ps lxii. 7]

"Here lies the body of Mrs. Alice WILLINGTON wife of John 
WILLINGTON Esq. of Killoskehan who departed this life June 
28th 1783 aged 34 years.  Here also lies the Body of John 
WILLINGTON Esq. Husband of Alice who departed this life June 
4th 1812 aged 72 years"

the wall dividing the most recently used portion of the 
church from the most ruined part :-

"Mary FLAVEN alias MACKEY died Sep. 26th 1770 aged 21 years"

"James MACKEY"  [the rest is buried]

"Underneath are deposited the remains of the Rev. Patrick 
MACKEY late Coadjutor of Fethard who in the discharge of his 
ministry caught a fever of which he died on the 17th of Dec. 
[No year] aged 30 years'  [Here follows an eulogy]

"John MACKEY of College Hill died March 20th 1801 aged 60 
years"

'Headstone at top, E. end.'
"Patrick MACKEY of the Cops died May 7th 1800 aged 60 years. 
 His son Patrick died July 3oth 1831 aged 33 years."

"Philip MAHER of Polough died January 15th 1827 aged 67 
years.  His son Anthony MAHER died January 8th 1827 aged 27 
years.  Erected by James MAHER of Polough who died June 4th 
1850 aged 54 years. Also his brother Patrick MAHER died 
April 7th 1855 aged 63 years"

"James MACKEY of College Hill died 1831 aged 59 years: his 
wife Johanna MACKEY alias MULALLY died Sep. 8th 1834 aged 53 
years, their son William died March 20th, 1835 aged 11 
years"
