AGHANAGH CHURCHYARD
    [From H. J. Bunbury.] 

'The two inscriptions given below are in connexion with the 
LILLIE family of Drumdoe, near Boyle, in the County 
Roscommon ' :- 

Underneath Lieth with his Ancestors
the Body of John LILIES who departed
this life the 22 nd of May in the year 
of our Lord 1776 Aged 70

Here lieth the body of 
ANNE LILLIES alias WILLIAMS 
Who departed this life Feb y . 
the 8 th , 1803, Aged 70. Also the 
body of Philip LILLIES who 
Departed this life the 5 th 
... 103 y 18 . . . 

[Stone broken.] 

' Philip LILLIE was the last of an old Roscommon family to 
live at Drumdoe. He died about 1830. His son, Sir John 
LILLIE, was in the army, and lived out of Ireland.'
