Leyden Tombstone

Cemetery: Arrilalah Cemetery Queensland Australia

My Great Grandfather (and other siblings) migrated to
Quensland, Australia in 1888. James joined the Qld Police
in 1889 and station at various far western Police stations.
He was promoted to Constable First Class & became Officer in
charge of Arrilalah Station in 1901. Arilalah is approx 50
kms west of Longreach, far west Queensland. James
eventually died at Arrilalah 21/04/1903 after contracting
Typhoid from contaminated water while on horseback patrol.
My sister and I had the plaque made and then laid when the
Arrilalah cemetery was rededicated in 2006.
