CHRISTOPHER JONES OF LISSGREGHAM, 1639

CHRISTOPHER JONES of Lissgregham in the County of Roscommon 
Gent. deceased elected Sovereign of Athlone Son of JOHN 
JONES of Athlone Gent. eldest Son of Levt. HENRY JONES of 
the same borne in Wales in the County of and son of The 
said first mentioned CHRISTOPHER took to Wife MARGARETT 
Daughter of JOHN MANBY born in Kent in the Kingdome of 
Bugland Somtime Cornett to Sr. COYNERS CLIFFORD Knt by whom 
he had issue 4 Sonns and 10 Daughters Viz. JOHN JONES oldest 
Son died young and unmarried. EDWARD 2d Son liveth and 
unmarried, HENRY 3d Sonn and CHRISTOPHER 4th both died young 
and unmarried MARY eldest Daughter married to EDWARD DILLON 
of Baskney in the County of Westmeath Esqr. JANE 2d Daughter 
married to WILLIAM CREAN of Sligoe Gent. KATHERIN third 
Daughter, ELLINOR 4th Daughter ANN 5th unmarried, ELIZABETH 
6th died young and unmarried MARGARETT 7th living and 
unmarried, BRIDGET 8 died unmar and BARBARA 9th died also 
young and unmarried. The said first mentioned CHRISTOPHER 
departed this mortall life at Lissgrahame aforesaid about 
the 13th of February 1639 and was Interred in St. Francis 
Abbey in Athlone. The truth of the premisses is testified by 
the Subscription of the said MARGARETT Relict of and Execx. 
of the Defunct, who returned this Certifficate to be 
recorded in my Office. Taken by me Thomas Preston Esq. 
Ulvester King of Armes the 26th of February 1639. MARt.
