MCMAHOWNE, ROSS JUNE 1, 1638

Ross oge mcc: Mahowne of Clariynlagh in the County of 
Monaghan Gent. deceased of Son of Rosse Bane mcc Mahone of 
Monnaghane duffe in the said county Gent. Son of Redmond mcc 
Mahone of the same Gent.  

The first mentioned Rosse took to Wife Margarett Daughter of 
John Gernon of Killingcoole in the County of Lough Gent. by 
whom he hath issue 2 Sonns and 3 Daughters Viz. Hugh eldest 
son and heir of the said first mentioned Rosse, James 2d 
Sonn though young and unmarried Mary eldt. daughter Katherin 
 2d Daughter Ellinor third Daughter all three young and 
un-married.  The said first mentned Rosse departed this 
mortall life at Monaghan Duff aforesaid the 1st of June 1638 
and was Interred in the Parish Church of St. Daneing (?) the 
10th of the same Month   The truth of the premisses is 
testified by the Subscription of Christoper Gernon Brother 
in Law to the Defunct who hat retur'dd this Cerfifficate 
into my Office there to be recordd. taken by me Thomas 
Preston Esqr. Ulvester King of Armes the 21st Day of 
Novembr. 1638.
