In the matter of
DOMINIC BROWNE, continued in the name of JAMES ARTHUR
BROWNE, Esquire, Owner. Address: Brown Hall, Balla, County
Mayo. Ex-parte: THEOBALD JONES, Esq, and THE HONORABLE AND
REVEREND CHARLES DOUGLAS. Petitioners.
Held in Fee-Simple, situated in The Counties of Mayo and
Roscommon. To be sold by auction in Five Lots, at Gill's
Hotel, Ballinasloe, Co Galway. On Tuesday, the 6th day of
October 1857, at One O Clock in the afternoon.
Rental of the lands of BOOLINREE, otherwise BOLINREE,
CURSKEAGH, otherwise CORSKEAGH, CURROWMORE, otherwise
CARRAMORE,and CLOONMORE UPPER, situate in the Barony of
Clanmorris, and County of Mayo, containing 700a 0r 0p, and
producing a Nett Annual Rental of £315-10s-9d, sterling.

LOT 1: BOOLINTREE.
Situate in the Parish of Kilcolman, Barony of Clanmorris, Co
Mayo, within two-and-a-half miles of Claremorris, a
Post,Fair and Market Town. Fifteen and a-half miles from
Tuam, and twenty-nine miles of Athenry, where there is a
Station of the Midland Great Western Railway. The soil is a
warm, friable, loam, well adapted for green crops, tillage
or a sheep walk. Part is light and shallow; but could be
much improved by deep Tillage, manuring and liming-all of
which could be economically done, as the lands arefree from
rocks and stones; and being warm and dry can be laboured at
any season; and the expensive process of draining required
on other soils is unnecessary. There is a daily conveyance
between Claremorris and Athenry. Contains an area of
116a-1r-24p, statute measure.
Annual Profit Rent of £68-9s-5d.
Quit Rent = £1-14s-6d
Tithe Rent-Charge = £4-14s-4d.

dated the 14th day of May 1857, from JAMES ARTHUR BROWNE,
Esq, to MARTIN DIVINY, of the lands of Boolinree, in the
possession of said MARTIN DIVINY, for the term of 21 years,
from the 1st day of Nov 1856, at the yearly rent of £50
sterling. The lease reserves to the Lessor all Woods,
Underwoods, Bog, Turbary, Mines, Minerals, Coals, Quarries,
and Royalties whatsoever.The quantity of land in lease is
50a-3r-29p, Plantation Measure. OBSERVATION: The original
under lease will be handed to the purchaser.
USTIN RUANE 20- 0- 0 33-1-25 Lease
dated the 6th day of April 1857, from JAMES ARTHUR
BROWNE,Esq, to MARTIN RUANE, of part of said Lands,
containing 20a-3r-20p Plantation Measure, for the term of 21
years, from the 1st November 1856, at the yearly rent of
£20. The lease reserves to the lessor all Mines, Minerals,
Quarries, Turbary, Bogs, Woods and Underwoods. OBSERVATION:
The original lease will be handed to the purchaser.

LOT 2: CURSKEAGH.
Situate in the Parish of Mayo, Barony of Clanmorris, Co
Mayo; within five miles of Claremorris, and three of
Balla,both of which are Post and Market Towns; Six fairs are
held in Balla each year. It is seven miles from Tuam and
twenty-six from Athenry, a station on the Great Western
Railway. Claremorris is one of the best Markets in this part
of the country. There is a daily conveyance between
Claremorris and Athenry. The lands consists of a medium
light, sandy, loam, capable of considerable improvement, and
well adapted for green crop culture, alternated with oats,
barley and clover. Contains area of 83a-0r-7p, statute
measure.
Annual profit rent of £39-2s-7d.
Probable Tithe-Rent charge = £1-1-7.

situate in the Parish of Tagheen, Barony of Clanmorris, and
County of Mayo.The lands are intersected by the roads
leading from Hollymount to Claremorris, and being about four
miles from Claremorris and twenty eight from Athenry, a
station on the Midland Great Western Railway. There is a
daily conveyance between Claremorris and Athenry.The lands
consist principally of a deep, rich, friable loam, recumbeat
on a warm, porous subsoil, well adapted for the production
of Cereal and Green Crops; portion of the land is of a
medium quality and reclaimed bog, and partly turf bog, which
is valuable to the tenants for manure and fuel, and the
subsoil of which, when exausted, will be capable of easy
reclamation. Contains area of 144a-5r-25p, statute measure.
Annual profit rent of £81-3s-1d.
Probable Tithe-Rent charge = £2-12-8.
Quit Rent = £0-8-9.

leading from Claremorris to Kiltemagh and Ballyhaimes, being
about two miles from the latter, and five miles from the
former town, one of the best Market Towns in this part of
the country, and eight miles from Athenry.There is a daily
conveyance between Claremorris and Athenry.The lands consist
of a medium,light,sandy loam, well adapted for the growth of
Green Crops, and laying out in grass; of green, moory
pasture, and reclaimed bog, capable, by draining and
manuring, of very considerable improvement; and turf bog
also capable of great improvement, the greater part being
easily reclaimed and converted into green crop lands, lime
and gravel being on the spot for dressing.
Contains area of 356a-0r-7p.
Annual Profit Rent = £126-15-8

minerals,coals, quarries and royalties whatever. The
