ESQ.1852.(CARRASKEANE) 

In the matter of
CHARLES BLAKE, Esquire, Owner.
JOHN SQUIRE, Esquire, Petitioner.

Valuable Fee Simple Estates, situated in The County of the 
Town of Galway, The County of Galway, and The County of 
Mayo. To be sold by auction in seventeen Lots For Sale, on 
Friday the 19th day of November 1852.

Key: A R P = Acres, Roods, Perches. Measurement of land Key: 
40 Perches = 1 Rood. 4 Roods = 1 acre.

Lot No 16: Rental of the lands of CARRASKEANE, otherwise 
CARROWNSKEHAUN, situate in the Barony of Kilmaine, and 
County of Mayo.
   
This Lot is situated within one mile of Foxhall Post Office, 
two miles from Ballindine, and four miles from Hollymount, 
and adjacent to Belmount Demesne, in the County of Galway. 
One half of this lot is excellent Tillage Land, and the 
remainder well adapted for Meadowing and Pasture. The Public 
Road from Tuam to Crossboyne, forms its Northern boundary, 
and the road from Ballindine to Shrule divides it into two 
equal parts. There are upwards of four acres of Turbary; and 
the cut-away Bog is capable of producing Grass. The Ordnance 
Survey states the contents to be 241a-1r-18p.  
Quit Rent = £1-14s-6d
Tithe Rent-Charge = £4-14s-4d.
