ST. PATRICK'S, (COI) ARDAGH 2005
Cemetery Photo

This Church of Ireland burial site is situated southeast of 
Longford town off the N. 4.

Ardagh is a Heritage Town. Beautifully restored, and it has 
connections with Oliver Goldsmith.

This is a Church of Ireland burial site under the Diocese of 
Ardagh. There is another Catholic Cemetery in this town.

I walked and read this cemetery in March of 2005. This 
includes all existing and legible headstones. There may be 
others without markers. It is a small cemetery.

BRADLEY
Erected by, Bernard Bradley, of Navan. In loving memory of 
his wife, Martha. who died, 23 December? aged 22 years. Rest 
in peace.

BARRY
In loving memory of, Mary W. Barry, who died, 20 November 
1883 aged 23, years. Rest in peace.

CALLON
In loving memory of, Michael Callon, who died, 21 March 
18633. also his grandson. Erected by, his son, Peter Callon. 
Rest in peace.

CONNOR
In loving memory of, Patrick Connor, who died, 2 March 1852 
aged 28, years. Erected by his father, Michal Connor, Cross.

CORMICK
In loving memory of, Patrick Cormick, Grandymore, who died, 
4 March 1867 aged 16 years. Rest in peace.

DOONEY
In loving memory of, Hugh Dooney, Carnongalmoy, who died, 23 
March 1842 aged 30 years. Rest in peace.

DONOHUE/SULEVIN
In loving memory of. Patrick Donohue, who died,7 May 1852 
aged 78, years, also his wife, Catherine Donohue (Sulevin), 
who died, 28 April 1893 aged 49, years. Rest in. peace. 

DONOHUE
Sacred to the memory of, Mary Donohue, who died, 16 November 
1872 aged 17, years, her brother, Bernard Donohue. who died, 
4 June 1873 aged 9 years, her sister, Margaret Donohue, who 
died, 19 Dec. 18. May they rest in peace.

DOYLE/CONNOR
In loving memory of, Bridget Doyle (Nee Connor), who died, 4 
February 1843 aged 66, years, her son, James Doyle. Who 
died, 9 July 1843 aged, 35 yeas. Rest in peace.

DUFFY
In loving memory of, Bridget Duffy, Gilduff, who died, 2 
April 1835 aged 46 years. Rest in peace.

FALLON
In loving memory, James Fallon, Ardagh, who died, 30 
December 1893 aged 66, years, also his wife, Eliza Fallon, 
who died, 26 June 1873 aged 40, years Erected by his

Sacred to the memory of, Ann Farrell, (Alias Doona), who 
died, 1 June 1890 aged 58, years. Rest in peace.

In The Village of Ardagh on a little Chapel.
In remembrance of, Sir George Ralph Featherston, Baronet and 
of his life long devotion to the moral and social 
improvements of his tenantry this Clock Tower and the 
surrounding buildings were erected and the site whereon they 
stand purchased Frances Elizabeth, his widow.
