The Honourable and Most Reverend POWER LE POER TRENCH. The last Archbishop of Tuam. who died 26th March 1839. aged 69 years. As a Christian Prelate. he was an honoured instrument in the promotion of evangelical religion. and lived and died. adorning the doctrine. of God his Saviour in all things. In further testimony of their feeling. and to transmit his valued memory to their successors. they have established an exhibition in the University of Dublin called "The Poer Trench Memorial" to be given to the son of an Ardagh clergyman. who shall have distinguished himself in the Divinty Class prior to the commencements in each year. The funds for such memorial are vested in 3 per cent. consols. in the joint names of the Incumbants of Mohill. Clongish and Annaduff.
