CHARLES HARE M.A. | Record of that Parish | and Archdeacon of Limerick.
| In him were united all the qualities of the | Christian Gentleman. |
He was just and yet considerate, religious | without being intolerant.
His gracious nature | won for him the affection of all with whom he had
| intercourse. To perpetuate the memory of a character | so deserving of
reverence and love, a few friends have | erected this tablet, a memorial
of their esteem and | a testimony of their grief at his loss. He died |
11th August 1883, aged 61 years.

HOBSON O'BRIEN | Window | A window of four lights in the Gothic order
with | interfacing shafts, this window is a memorial to | Mrs. EMMA M.
HOBSON and her sister Miss MARY O'BRIEN, | who died within a few weeks
of each other in 1907. | These two ladies were the last to survive of
the large | family of TIMOTHY O'BRIEN of the Crescent who owned |
extensive properties in Limerick, Clare and Tipperary. | He was a
Justice of the Peace for each of these counties | and frequently a Grand
Juror. Their remains are interred | in St. Munchin's Church Graveyard.

Brakenlaacte, Transvaal, Octr. 31st 1901 | Aged 30. Only child of M.
General LLOYD of Beechmount and MARY his wife, Capt. LLOYD was asst.
staff | officer to Col. BENSON. He left a safe but less important duty
in camp and lost his life in a voluntary | attempt to reach his wounded
chief at the post of danger, persevering tho' wounded on the way.

24th July 1893, from injuries received | through a fall from his horse

perished at midnight on board the | Undine schooner in the river Shannon

sorrow to the breasts of many but to none more than | to the afflicted
parents of this youth so unexpectedly | snatched from their arms and who

a gallant veteran | and to record their feelings of respect | for his
character and worth.

TIERNEY Esqr. | who during a residence of thirty three Years at that
City maintained | with unimpeached integrity the Character of a British
Merchant. | The following extract is taken from his Will dated the 28th
day of April 1787 | and proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury |
on the 19th May 1788 | I desire that the Sum of Five hundred pounds
Irish Money | may be remitted to the Bishop & Dean of Limerick and that
| they may put the same out at Interest in the securest way | and that
said Interest may be paid to four poor Men and four | poor Women
annually in equal Shares, the choice of such | objects I leave to my
Nephew Mr. GEORGE ROCHE, and | he on the death of any of them is to
nominate another | person to succeed the deceased and the Charity I mean
to | be perpetual, wishing it were in my power to erect an Alms | house
for such objects which want of ability only prevents. | Said allowance
is to be paid them yearly on Christmas Eve, | and on the next day they
are to be partakers of the | Communion at St. Mary's Church, which is |
the Parish I was born in." | This memorial is placed by his grateful
Nephew | to perpetuate his benevolent Intention.

WESTROPP | Window | Designed by William Slater, the stained glass work
is | by Messrs Clayton and Bell of London. Mr Ryan was | contractor for
the dressed stonework. | Erected by ANNE, daughter of JOHN ROSS Esq.,
who | married THOMAS WESTROPP of Ross House, Co. Clare, | fifth son of
RALPH WESTROPP of Lismehane and | Clonmoney and afterwards Attiflynn.
The transept was | restored and the monument erected in 1862 in | memory
of her son THOMAS JOHNSTONE WESTROPP who | died in 1839 in Madeira at
the age of 20. | The story is told that when Mrs WESTROPP herself died,
| the casket which was said to contain her son's body was | found to be
empty.

stone was for many years simply | set into the floor at the foot of the
| pulpit. | Despite much research we have not | been able to find
anything whatsoever | about JOHN WOOLS, his family or his | descendants
if any. | We do not know what the "73" refers | to - his age? His date
of birth or death? | And if so in what century? | This is one of the
mysteries of this old | building. There are many more!
