MCGRATH, MARY COLLINS FEBRUARY 1, 1900

Norwich Bulletin (CT), 2 Feb. 1900, p. 5
Sudden death of Mrs. Patrick McGrath. Dies at her home on 
Sherman Street of apoplexy - was stricken while out of 
doors. Mrs. Mary McGrath, wife of Patrick McGrath, died 
suddenly at her home, 56 Sherman street about 7 o'clock 
Thursday morning of apoplexy. She had gone out into the back 
yard when she was stricken and being carried into the house 
died in a few minutes. She had been subject to attacks of 
apoplexy and had been treated by Dr. P.H. Harriman. She is 
survived by her husband, one son and three daughters. She 
was 59 years old.

Additional Comments: She was a sister of Margaret Collins 
Maloney and Michael Collins, all natives of Co. Limerick - 
their obituaries also submitted to this website. She 
emigrated to Norwich, Connecticut about 1856 with her mother 
and sister.
