Dedicated to the memory of all those | buried in unmarked

result | of the Great Famine, poverty and eviction. | May
all their Souls rest in peace with God | Donated to this
Community | by the GALLIGAN family Ballinamore | July 2013

Photo No.4
Mullaghboy/Ardunsaghan Graveyard | Site of the Old Church |
Here on this plot of 40 metres by 30 metres stood what is |
commonly known as the Old Church. Built before 1837, it was
| a T-shaped building, 53 foot long by 24 foot wide | and 8
foot high running from North to South. Built of | sandstone
blocks, it had poor windows, no ceiling or seating | and a
fixed Altar. (The Population of Drumreilly in 1841 was
3,581) | Only 2 metres of the South wall remain. | The fact
that the New Church of St. Marys in Drumlea was |
consecrated on the 8th September 1872, leads us to assume |
that the Old Church ceased to be. | Funded by Arigna Leader
through the RRS Programme
