WILL: POWER, RICHARD NOVEMBER 12, 1725

In the Name of God Amen I Richard Power the sonn of
Morris Power borne in the Towne of Louffing and in
the County of Kelkenny Mariner being very weake in
body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be unto
God for it calling unto mind the mortality of my body
and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to
dye do make and ordaine this my last Will Testament
(that is to say)Principally and first of all I recommend
my Soule to God that gave it And my body to the
Earth or Sea which shall please God to call it and to be
buried in a Christian like manner and at the discretion
of my Executors nothing Doubting that at the generall
Resurrection I shall receive the same by the mighty
power of God And as to touching such worldly Estate
wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this
my life I give devise and dispose of the same in the
following manner Imprimis I give and bequeath to my
father Morris Power sume of Nineteene pounds
fourteen shillings lawfull money of Great Britain
besides all sume and summes of money that shall be
due unto me either by booke or Tickett in any of his
Majesties Shippe of Warr vessells or in any Merchant
Shippe and especially my wages due to me on board
of the Squerrell Galley Captaine Richard Blincoe
Commander and likewise all my worldly Estate Goods
chattells lands and tenements that shall be due to me
And still revokeing all former Wills and Testaments and
Deeds of Gift before the time named willed and
bequeathed Ratifieing and confirming this and no
other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness
whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale this
twelfth day of November and in the yeare of our Lord
One thousand seaven hundred twenty five and in the
thirteenth yeare of our Soveraigne King George King of
Great Brittaine France and Ireland Richard Power his
marke
