BLACKRATH CHURCHYARD

Erected to the memory of Christopher James of
Danville in the Liberties of Kilkenny, Barrister of Law
who departed this Life the 7th of January 1847 Aged
71 years.

Mrs. Mary Ann Colles Widow of the Late William
Colles Esq. of Millmount. Died 28th of November
1840 in the 90th year of her age.

William Colles Esq of Millmount Died 20th October
1849 in the 78th year of his age And Richard Colles
Esq. of Riverview died 17th October 1849 in the 76th
years of his age.Eldest and Third sons of the above
named William and Mary Ann Colles. So teach us to
number our days that we may apply our hearts unto
wisdom.

Erected by John Neil of Maddoxtown in memory of
his beloved wife M'rs Mary Neil, aliasLangton, who
departed this life January the 1 1848 in the 38th year
of her age.Also her brother Larence who died Young.
May their souls rest in peace. Amen

In Excelsis
Erected by Patrick in memory of his father John
Whitely of Kilmocabill who departed this life on the
3rd day of April 1820.Also his mother Mary Whitely
who departed this life on the 8th day of August 1833
aged 75 years. Requiescant in Pace'

CASTLE INCH OR INCHYLOGHAN CHURCHYARD
  [From Messrs. J. Buckley and J.D. Hackett]

A modern Protestant Church, in which service is held,
stands in the churchyard. The grounds are unkempt
and are rich in weeds and briars.

Meany of Cellerstown whodep'd this life Jan'y the 22
1799 aged 84 y'rs.Also Mitch'l Meany son to the
above Rich'd who dep'd this life June the 1st 1810
Aged 21 years.

Here lies the body of William Meany who dep'd life
27th of October 1813 Aged 55 Y'rs.

'On a flag inserted in a side wall of the vault' :-
William Hartford of Grange in the Co. of Kilkenny Esq.
built this vault and entombed herein lies the Body of
M'rs Catherine Wilkinson the Mother of his wife
Anne.She died September 16th 1797 ag'd 70 y'rs.
