Gormon, esq. in the 77th year of his age. Deceased was a 
native of Ireland, and was very much respected in the 
community in which he lived on account of his many Christian 
virtues.

Corrigan-May 1st in Montreal, Bridget, native of Westport, 
Co. Mayo, beloved wife of Patrick Corrigan,

Hurley-April 20th at the Grey Nunnery, Montreal, Canada 
West, in the 65th year of her age, and the 36th year of her 
profession, Sister Hurley, a native of Lismore, Co. 
Waterford. The deceased was well known to the Irish Catholic 
population by her indefatigable zeal, by her unremitting 
attention to the poor and sick, by whom she will be long 
remembered in affection, and whose prayers for her eternal 
happiness accompany her beyond the grave.

Delaney-April 18th in Niagara, West Canada, Serjeant John 
Delaney, native of the Queen's County, aged 82 years. The 
deceased served with his regiment-the 40th-under Wellington 
in the Peninsular war, being engaged throughout the entire 
of that campaign, and participated in the Iron Duke's final 
struggle at Waterloo. Serjeant Delaney bore honourable 
testimony of the soldier's highest attributes-discipline and 
steadiness under fire-having obtained the good conduct 
medal, beside the Peninsular medal, with four clasps, 
viz.:-Toulouse, Orthos, Pyrenees, and Vittoria, and the 
Waterloo medal.
