FREEMANS JOURNAL, 4 APRIL 1842 REPEAL ASSOCIATION - BUTTERMILK FALLS, NY

On Saturday evening we held our first meeting in this place. 
There are not more than thirty Irishmen residing here, and 
there was not one of them absent on the occasion. The 
meeting was held at Mr. Timothy O'Leary's house; the room 
was tastefully and appropriately decorated, and a band of 
music which was in attendance played several Irish and 
American national airs.

The following gentlemen enrolled themselves members of the 
association.
