ALUMNI DUBLINESES - WADE (PARTIAL)

WADE, GEORGE AUGUSTUS: George Augustus Wade entered Trinity 
College Dublin in October 1879, aged 16 years, as a 
pensioner i.e. he paid a fixed annual fee for his education. 
He was born in Bray, County Wicklow, the son of George 
Augustus Wade, whose profession is listed as Merch[ant] 
Clerk, and his religion is listed as Presbyterian. Before 
coming to Trinity College Dublin, this student was educated 
in Bray, County Wicklow, but the location of the school is 
not provided. The Catalogue of graduates states that George 
Augustus Wade obtained a BA in Spring 1884 and B.Ch 
(Bachelor in Surgery) and MB (Bachelor in Medicine) in 
Summer 1886.

WADE, ERNEST WENTWORTH: Ernest Wentworth Wade  entered this 
University in October 1887 as a pensioner, aged 17 years. He 
was born in Bray, County Wicklow, the son of George Augustus 
Wade, whose profession is listed as merchant, and his 
religion is listed as Church of Ireland. This student 
received his early education in Bray, County Wicklow, but 
the name of the school is not listed. He obtained a BA in 
Winter 1891, BAO (Bachelor in Midwifery), B.Ch (Bachelor in 
Surgery) and MB (Bachelor in Medicine) in Winter 1892.

The two boys above were sons of George Augustus Wade 
1832-1910 who m. Maria Manning in 1861 in Dublin. There was 
also a daughter who was an early BA graduate of the Royal 
University of Ireland.
