In the Name of God Amen I Margaret Fitzpatrick of the Town 
of Galway in Ireland Widow of Edmond Fitzpatrick of the same 
Town Clothier deceased being at present in health and of 
sound disposing mind memory and understanding thanks be to 
God for the same do make and publish this my last Will and 
Testament in manner and form following that is to say first 
I resign my Soul to God its Creator and as to my Body I 
desire the same may be interred with the remains of my dear 
Husband at the Burial Ground at forthill in such discreet 
and decent manner as my Executors hereinafter named shall 
think fit secondly I will and bequeath Three hundred pounds 
Sterling to my second Daughter Mary Byerland wife of George 
Byerland in His Majesty's Ninety seventh Regiment of foot 
(as a Trustee and In Trust only) for the use of her Son 
William Shepherd a Musician to be paid unto him the said 
William Shepherd after my death provided he shall not or may 
not disoblige his said Mother but if by disobedience or 
improper Conduct he shall incur her displeasure then and in 
such case she is at liberty to dispose of the said Sum of 
Three hundred pounds after my death in any manner she may 
think fit thirdly but in case of the said William Shepherd 
and Mary Byerland should both happen to die before me and 
before the said Three hundred pounds shall become payable 
after my death as aforesaid then and in such case I will and 
bequeath the said Three hundred pounds to my Daughter Julia 
Connelly widow of Patrick Connelly of Galway Shopkeeper to 
be paid unto her immediately after my death provided the 
said William Shepherd and Mary Byerland or either of them be 
not then living but not otherwise fourthly and as to my 
share of any remaining Part of my deceased Son Major John 
Fitzpatrick's fortune or Property to which I am or may be 
entitled and which may be hereafter recovered or remitted 
from the East Indies London or elsewhere I will and bequeath 
the same to my aforesaid Daughter Mary Byerland as my 
Residuary Legatee as well as all or any other Property I may 
die possessed of after all my legal Debts and funeral 
Expences and the said Legacy of Three hundred Pounds after 
my death as aforesaid Lastly I will and bequeath to my Son 
Lieutenant Edmund Fitzpatrick of the Thirty third Regiment 
of foot (whose conduct has not been pleasing to me) the Sum 
of One Pound Sterling only and I hereby Nominate Constitute 
and Appoint Richard Adams of the Town of Galway Merchant and 
the aforesaid Mary Byerlin Executors of this my last Will 
and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand 
and Seal this fourth day of August One thousand Eight 
hundred and Thirteen Margaret X Fitzpatrick her mark
