Source: Personal John J. Primrose was born and raised in Tattenabuddagh, Fermanagh. He was the son of William and Margaret Primrose. He had 4 siblings and cousins in the area. As a young man, he went to Australia to mine for gold for a few yrs, returned to Northern Ireland, and then emigrated to the United States in the early 1870's.
