In the Name of God Amen I Patrick Carroll Seaman belonging 
to His Majestys Ship Arrogant being weak in body but of 
sound and good Memory Do make this my last Will & Testament 
in the manner and form following I resign my Soul to God who 
gave it and my Body to the Earth or Sea as it shall Please 
God to dispose of it I Give and bequeath to my well beloved 
Wife Ellinor Carroll and my loving Daughter Mary Anne 
Carroll and in case of their Death to my father Mother and 
Brother Wm Margaret and Wm Carroll and in Case of their 
Death to Thomas Morgan all living in Island Bridge Dublin 
all my wages Prize Money Short Allowance Money that is or 
may become due for my Services on board any of His Majesty's 
Ships or Vessels or any other Ship or Vessel And Do hereby 
Nominate Constitute and appoint Executors of this my last 
Will and Testament and Do give and bequeath unto my said 
Executors all the rest and residue of my Estate whatsoever 
both Real and Personal hereby Revoking and making void and 
do declare this my last Will and Testament In Witness 
whereof I have set my hand and Seal this fifteenth day of 
April one thousand eight hundred and three Signed Patrick 
Carroll Witness John Crawley _ And Egan _ Signed and 
Published in the General Hospital at Bombay where no Stamps 
used or to be had in the presence of Nathn Russell (?) 
Surgeon Naval Hospital Bombay
