TEMPLEOGUE OLD CEMETERY, COUNTY DUBLIN, IRELAND
NOS. 1 - 16

Photo No.1
The Old Ruined Church at Templeogue is close to the Spawell
roundabout at the junction of Wellington Lane. Entry to
the ruined church with its headstones can be made through
the present Templeogue Cemetery. It stands on the site of
an early monastery which gave its name to the townland. No
part of the ruins can be dated to the time of the original
monastery but part may have existed prior to the Norman
Invasion. The church was reported in 1615 to be utterly in
ruin.
