In the Name of God Amen I Mathew Anderson late of Killowen
in the County of Down in the Kingdom of Ireland & now Seaman on board
His Majesty’s Sloop Star John Gardner Esqr Captain No 19 on the Books
of the said Sloop taking into Consideration the shortness of Life as
well as the casualties and mortalities more especially happening unto
Seafaring Men do in Consequence thereof make Constitute and Ordain this
my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Vizt. All my
worldly Estate Salary Wages Tickets Bounty money Prize Money short
allowance Money Short Allowance money Smart Money pensions and all
other Sum or Sums of Money whatsoever as now is or at any time or
times hereafter shall be due owing payable or belonging unto me
for my own or any other Service in any of His Majesty’s Ships
Frigates or Vessells of War or in any other respect whatsoever
unto my Honoured Father Robert Anderson now or late of Killowen
in the Parish of Killbroney near Newry in the County of Down in
the Kingdom of Ireland whom I hereby Constitute and appoint the whole
and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament revoking and
disallowing all others made or said by me to have been made and
Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In
Witness whereof I have hereunto set the mark of my hand and Seal
on board the said Sloop at Sea this twenty Ninth Day of June in
the Fortieth Year of his Present Majesty’s Reign
