WILLS: CARNE, ANNE APRIL 27, 1725

In the Name of God Amen the Twenty Seventh Day of
Aprill in the Year of our Lord God 1725 I Anne Carne of
Londonderry in the County of Londonderry
Gentlewoman being very sick and weake in body but of
perfect Mind and Memory thanks be Given unto God
therefore calling unto mind the Mortality of my Body
and knowing it is appointed for all Woman once to Dye
Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament
(That is to Say) Principally and first of all I Give and
Recommend my Soul into the hands of God that gave it
and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a
Christian like and Decent manner at the discretion of my
Executors nothing doubting but at the Generall
Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty
power of God And as touching such Worldly Estate
wherewithal it pleased God to bless me in this life I Give
Devise and Dispose of the same in the following manner
and form Imprimis I Give and Bequeath to my well
beloved Sister Mary Diyell One Guinea Item I give to my
beloved Cousin Nichola Kelly Twenty pounds and all
moveables Excepting one black Suit of Silk and a Silver
Cup and two Spoons to be sold for the help of my buriall
Also I Give to my beloved Cousin Ellse Diyall five pounds
and two suits of Cloaths a black and white Suit of Silk and
a Sprig Petticoat Also I Give to my beloved Cousin Mary
Diyall five pounds if She be if not it falls to my Cousin
Nichola Kelly Also I Give to my beloved Cousin Ann Boyd
five pounds Also I Give to my beloved Cousin Christian
Andrews five pounds And I do hereby utterly Disallow
revoake and disannull all and every other former
Testaments Will and Legacies and requests I constitute
and appoint Robert Andrew of Muff and Bryan Kelly of
Muff to be Sole Executors of this my last Will and
Testament ratifying and confirming this and no other to
be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have
hereunto sett my hand and Seal the day and year above
Written Anne Carne her marke Signed Sealed published
pronounced and Declared in the presence of us the
Subscribers vizt

Memorandum that I Will and Bequeath to my cousin
Robert Andrew One Guinea to buy a pair of Gloves after
my Decease also I Will and Bequeath to Christopher
Raines and his Wife a Guinea to buy Gloves for
themselves.

Memorandum before Signing Sealing and
Delivering of the above Will that the aforesaid and above
mentioned Christian Andrew is to receive the Moiety
which is five pounds Sterling Copia Vera Robert Houston
