In the Name of God Amen I Terence Swiny of the Parish of 
Malo in the County of Cork being in Bodily weakness but of 
sound Mind and Memory and considering the Dangers of the 
Seas and other uncertaintys of this Transitory Life do for 
avoiding Controversys after my decease make this my last 
Will and Testament in the manner following that is to say 
first I recommend my Soul to God that gave it and my Body I 
commit to the Earth or Sea as it shall please God and as for 
and concerning my Worldly Effects I do give and bequeath to 
my loving Mother and Sister Katherine Swiny and Joanah field 
of the Parish of Malo and in the County of Cork Widow that 
is to say all such Sum and Sums of Money Land Goods or 
Chattels as is or shall be due owing or belonging at any 
time I give and bequeath to my beloved Mother and Sister as 
aforesaid and I do hereby order and appoint Gawen Drayton to 
be full and whole Executor of this my last Will and 
Testament unto which I have set my Hand and Seal the 7th day 
of October and in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven 
hundred and forty eight and in the Twenty second Year of our 
Reign of our Sovereign King George the Second Terence Swyny 
Signed sealed and Delivered in the presence of us Wm Bothaw
