In the Name of God Amen I John Keef of Kingsale in the 
County of Cork Ireland belonging to His Majestys Ship 
Intrepid and now laying in the Navy Hospital Madrass 
dangerously Ill but of sound disposing mind and memory after 
my decease make Publish and declare this my last Will and 
Testament in the manner following (that is to say) first and 
principally I recommend my Soul to God who gave it and my 
Body I Commit to the Earth and as for and concerning all my 
Worldly Estate I give bequeath and dispose hereof as follows 
(that is to say) As to my Wages Sum and Sums of Money 
whatsoever which shall be in any ways due owing or belonging 
to me at the time of my decease I do give devise and 
bequeath the same unto my dear father and Mother John and 
Jane Keef living in Kingsale* in the County of Cork Ireland 
(Secondly) my Beding and Wearing Apparel I do give to my 
dear Messmates Jas Smith Isaac Flood and John Mills (Lastly) 
All prize Money that is due from His Majestys Ship Sardine 
and Wages and Prize money that is due to me from His 
Majestys Ship Intrepid to the Aforesaid John and Jane Keef 
to their Executors and their Administrators and I do hereby 
nominate and Appoint the said John and Jane Keef Sole 
Executors of this my last Will and Testament by me at any 
time heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set 
my hand and Seal this 8th Day of September in the year of 
Our Lord One thousand Eight hundred Signed John X Keef
