In the Name of God Amen I Patrick Hayles of the Town and 
County of Corke Being thro' the abundance of God's Mercy and 
Goodness tho' weak of Body yet of a Perfect Understanding 
and Memory Do Constitute this my last Will and Testament and 
Desire it to be received by all as Such Imprimis: I Give to 
my Dear and loving Wife two thirds of my Effects or money 
that Shall be raised from the said Effects Item I Give to my 
Dear Mother Mary Crowley of the said towne and County as 
Above one third of my Effects or Money that shall be raisd 
from the said Effects And for the executing of this my Last 
Will and Testament I Do Constitute John Keling of the Town 
of Cloyn in the said County of Corke) My Exceutor of this my 
Last Will and Testament and trustee of my Wife and Mother In 
Witness whereof I have set my hand and Seal third Day of 
February in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred 
and Eighty five Patrick Hayles
Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of Us Thomas Peek Jno 
Keilon (?) Proved 25 August 1785 to John Keelen the sole 
Executor (Effects under £100) Testator was late belonging to 
the East India Merchant Ship Middlesex and died in February 
last
