LOT No. 11 The FEE-SIMPLE of all MINES and MINERALS
to be found in or upon the lands of

RATHRUANEMORE; RATHRUANEBEG; QUOLEAGHMORE (or COOLAGHMORE) and QUOLAGHBEG (or COOLAGHBEG)
being the Lands comprised in the aforesaid Lots, No. 7 to Lot No. 10, inclusive

Copy Report of CHARLES THOMAS, ESQ, pursuant to the Order of the Commissioners.

" I have made a careful examination of the Minerals on the Townlands of RATHRUANEBEG; RATHRUANEMORE; COOLAGHMORE; COOLAGHBEG and BANANUCKANE,
in the Parish of Skull, County Cork, "the property of Edward Baldwin BELCHER, Esquire"

"The accompanying Map will show the different places where I have found indications of Copper"
[Transcriber's Note: Map not shown in Transcribing]

"This Estate is adjoining and bounded on the south by the Ballydehop Mines, from many hundreds of
tons of rich Copper Ores have been sold and is at present, active in operation"

"My attention was first directed to COOLAGHMORE, where I find a lode, cropping out at surface, of a highly
mineralized appearance. The surface consists of a light clay slate. The lode is composed of quartz, killas
carbonates of copper and spots of great ore. The indications are such as to expect copper ore underneath"

	"At COOLAGHBEG are three parallel lodes.  No 1 was opened by the late Colonel HALL.  At present is a pit full of rubbish;
but judging from the stones of killas, and carbonate of copper left since it was worked, I have reason to believe that
copper ore will be found in depth.

No 2, I discovered in the side of a road, and a sunk pit on it four feet deep. The lode is
three feet wide containing quartz, a congenial killas, and a branch or vein of gossam and green carbonate of
copper ore, from four to six inches wide. It is my decided opinion that a good deposit of grey ore will be
found at this point of the property.

No 3, was (sunk) on by the Ballydehob Mining Company, about twenty years since. which is running west into
that sett. When the Mine was abandoned, nothing further was done."

"I observed appearances in several other places on this property; but as there are no trials made, I could
not form an opinion of their value. This locality has long been known as a decided 'Mining District' and I consider
from the strong indications of copper ore to be seen ion different places, that it is a good speculation for
capitalists."

"The advantage for working this Mine are exceedingly favourable, being within half a-mile of Ballydehob from
whence ore may be shipped any season of the year at a trifling expense. A large stream of water is running in the sett.
which may be applied for all Mining purposes.

"If further information is required respecting this mineral property, by any parties, I shall have great
pleasure in communicating with them on the subject."
