TEMPLECURRAHEEN CHURCHYARD MEMORIALS
    [From Mr. James Coleman, M.R.S.A.I.]

'This graveyard lies not far from Carrigtuohill railway 
station on the top of a steep hill, at the foot of which is 
a house with a stone inscribed':-

      Francis WISE Esqr 110.

"And higher up, off the roadside, is a covered-in well, with 
the inscription':-

      Erected by Francis WISE 1798.
   ____

'Portions of the east and north walls of the old church are 
still standing in this graveyard: the following inscriptions 
are copied from tombstones here;:-

      This stone was erected by Johannah HALEY in memory
      of her husband William HALEY, who departed this Life
      May 20th 1768, aged 37 years.  Also the body of
      Honora HAWKINS niece of William FAHY and wife of
      Richard HAWKINS, Rathcormac, died Dec 7, 182_ aged
      63 years.

  'On a table tomb':-
   THE COPPINGERS OF BARRYSCOURT TOMB MADE THE YEAR 1788
   ____

   This Stone was erected by Michael RIORDAN in Memory
   of his Father John RIORDAN, who died Augt 9th 1771
   aged 50 years.

   HERE LIETH THE BODY OF JOHN GUIREY WHO DEPARTED
   THIS LIFE AUGUST THE 1ST 1780 AGED 29 YEARS.

      SIT NOMEN DOMINI BENEDICTUM.
   HERE LIES INTERRED THE BODY OF ELIZABETH GRANDON,
   ALIAS HACKET, WIFE OF DAVID GRANDON, DECEASED NOVR
   20TH 1798, AGED 55 YEARS
          REQUIESCAT IN PACE
