In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Ramsay a Captain in His
Majestys 89th Regt do hereby most solemnly declare this my
last Will and Testament viz I do give and bequeath unto my
beloved Sister Mary Banks Wife of Doctor Banks residing at
or near the Town of Gunis in the County of Clare in Ireland
and share & share alike unto her Children save & except John
Thomas Banks my God Son to whom I wish to leave fifty Pounds
more if my Pay due to me & my pension should admit of it of
the whole of my property at the time of my demise hereby
revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made and I do
hereby nominate & appoint Captn C Chepmell 53rd Regt &
Andrew Nicoll 86th Regt Executors of this my last Will &
Testament In Witness whereof I set my hand and Seal this
sixth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and seventeen at Sea on Board the Transport Lucy &
Maria Thos Ramsey Signed & Sealed where no stamps are in use
in the presence of J H Burns Lt Agt 80 Rt _ J W Phelps Capt
80 Regt
Proved at London 29 August 1817 by the Oath of
Chares Chepmell power reserved to other Executor
