RYAN, MICHAEL JUNE 9, 1930

East St Louis Journal, 9 June 1930
RYAN, Michael 60, for 27 years a motorman for the East St 
Louis Railway Co. funeral tomorrow 10th June 1930, burial Mt 
Carmel. Died suddenly at home at 628 N 7th St. Member of the 
15 Year Club Street Railway, he operated cars on every line 
in the city but mainly on the Landsowne Division; several of 
the city's oldest residents to be pallbearers. Arrangements 
by Walsh Funeral Home which the body lay in state and 
mourners could visit at 7:30 to say the rosary. He came to 
America from Ireland at age 16. Survived by sister Mary 
Meehan in Ireland, and four brothers Patrick Buffalo, New 
York, John, Cornelius and Thomas.
