In the Name of God Amen I John McCadam Master of the Ship
friendship now living in the Town of Belfast in the County
of Antrim being weak of Body but of sound Judgment Memory
and Understanding do make and publish this my last Will and
testament in manner and form following that is to say first
I allow all my Debts to be paid and my funeral Charges out
of the Monies and Effects and the Remainder after my just
Debts are paid in the following manner to my Son John
McCadam I leave ten pounds when recovered from London out of
the 4 Pr Cent Stock To my Daughter Mary Ann McCadam I leave
twenty pounds when my Money is recovered out of the
aforesaid Stock To my Daughter Sarah McCadam Wife of Wm
McCadam of Remillar in the County of Donegal Ten Pounds To
my Son George McCadam I leave and bequeath five pounds if he
demands it But none of the aforesaid Legacies to be paid
until my Money that is in the funds in London is recovered
by my Executors herein after named And to my Wife Rosana
McCadam I leave and bequeath all the Residue and Remainder
of my Goods Chattels and Effects with the House she now
lives in to assist her to educate and maintain my Youngest
Son Wm McCadam Henry McCadam and the Child my said Wife is
now pregnant of Male or female And I nominate and appoint
John McClean of forest Lane Belfast and Mr Thomas McCabe of
Belfast Merchant Executors of this my last Will and
Testament to see the same fairly executed according to the
true intent and meaning thereof In Witness whereof I have
hereunto set my Hand and Seal this third day of May in the
Year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight
& I allow this to stand for my last Will & Testament
rejecting all others John McCadam
