WILLS: MAWHENEY, JOHN FEBRUARY 16, 1816

Written: February 16, 1816

This is to certify this is the last Will & Testament of John
Mawheney of Belfast in the County of Antrim So will I leave
& bequeath to my own daughter An Jean Kerr twenty pounds in
cash my Copper kettle & her choice of the furniture & I
leave to my Grandson John Kerr thirty pounds in money & the
house I am now living in in Nelson Street only him giving
during the life of his Mother two Apartments in it free of
rent and I leave to Mary Kerr my Granddaughter twenty pounds
in cash not to be lifted till she come to age or decently
married & the remainder of my money after the above sums is
to defray my funeral expences & if any left after it is to
be divided alike to get mourning Cloaths John Kerr my
Grandson his money is to school and get him a Trade as far
as it will go to the Lease of Mr Smith’s I likewise leave to
my Grandson John Kerr given under my hand & seal in Town of
Belfast in County Antrim this 16th of febry in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred & sixteen _ John
