Invite to Bunbury to fight a duel with Pistols at dawn!.

[Note from Michael Purcell 2012.

This is a complete transcription of a charge sheet on parchment, detailing a challenge to Henry Bunbury to fight a duel with "Pistolls" in 1787.

We have another sheet dealing with this case but it gets bogged down with references to "our Serene and Illustrious Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God etc etc etc etc " we may publish it later.

There are other cases involving Henry Bunbury recorded in the PPP.

In November 1807 he was  "one of His Majestys Justices of the Peace" when he had a narrow escape from death during an encounter with Mathew Byrne at the Market Cross in Carlow.]
