				Mrs. M (Minnie)
				Snoddy, Carlow.

Death is always very sad, but there are
often accompanying circumstances which make it tragic in the
extreme. Such was the case when on Saturday night the rather
sudden demise of Mrs. Snoddy, beloved wife of Mr. Michael Snoddy,
N.T., Mount Hanover, Carlow, occurred in a Dublin hospital after
being admitted only a few hours previously.

The deceased was a lady of a most amiable
disposition, and was deeply attached to her three young children
				and home.

She was married about seven years ago,
and her death in the prime of life is most sincerely regretted
by a wide circle of relatives and friends.

The remains were conveyed by motor hearse
to the Cathedral, Carlow, on Sunday evening, and the immense
funeral cortege that met the remains on the outskirts of the
town testified to the widespread sympathy felt for her afflicted
				husband and young family.

Very Rev. W. Miller, D.Ph., Adm.,
received the remains at the Cathedral and led the large
congregation in the recitation of the Rosary.

Office and Requiem High Mass was
celebrated on Monday morning in the Cathedral for the repose of
				her soul.

Very Rev. T. Browne, President, St.
				Patrick's College, presided.

The celebrant of the Mass was Very Rev.
				W. Milller, Adm; deacon, Rev. C. Crowley, C.C.; sub-deacon, Rev.
				D. Kennedy, C.C.

In the choir were: Re. Very Rev. J.

				J. Dunny, P.P. Tinryland; Very Rev. P. O'Haire, P.P.
Graiguecullen; Rev. J. Conway, Knockbeg College; Rev. M.
Coughlin, C.C., Carlow; Rev. E. Kerrigan, C.C., Tinryland.

				The funeral took place immediately
afterwards to St. Mary's Cemetery. The chief mourners were:-
Michael Snoddy, N.T. (husband), Edward Brennan (father), John,
Stephen, Edward Brennan (brothers), Mrs Tynan and Mrs. Bunting
(sisters), Mrs Patrick Snoddy (mother-in-law), Patrick Purcell,
