The above image is of Marble Hill Hurling team c.1930's which was sent in by Mr Peter Walker in January 2007.  His comments are below:

Marble Hill Hurling team was based in the Dublin Road area of Carlow in the 1930s, Bear in mind that the some of the addresses given were appended later and the housing estates did not exist at the time of the Photograph, Jimmy Cummins, Noel Cooney and no doubt more have passed away since the details were published.
I got this by snail mail from a man in England. It had appeared in the Carlow Nationalist sometime in the 70s or 80s courtesy of Martin Doogue a brother of Ned Doogue.  My Father is Joe Walker in the picture. If Martin Doogue could respond if he sees this photo and maybe he could provide us with a better image!

Regards, Peter Walker 2007

We would appreciate it if some kind person could help us get hold of the original photograph and send me a copy, PLEASE! to: mjbrennan30@gmail.com
