This copy of a 1655 manuscript which belongs to Michael Purcell and he is looking for someone who might be able to transcribe it for the Carlow IGP website.
It is recording a Cromwellian soldier selling his grant of land in Carlow in 1655......I would like help in transcribing it.
The clerk writes in a type of shorthand and as a guide the first line reads
~ Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Nowland late a soldier in Col Pretty's own Troops ~
~at very end it is signed by Thomas Nowland and over to the left we read
~ Signed Sealed and Delivered in ye presence of William Goode and John Church.~
