The Carlow Gentry Estate Houses

Jimmy O'Toole quoted in his book 'The Carlow Gentry' that the County of Gloucestershire in England had often been labelled the county with the most gentry in England.  In Ireland, the same could have been said for County Carlow where, until the early part of the Nineteen Century, as many as 60 plus 'Big Houses' dominated the county. The following is a list of people and their houses during that period.
