My Claim to Irish Ancestors-

Gaines

Glenn/Glynn

Gillespie

The Irish name Gillespie is derived from the native Gaelic Mac Giolla Easpuig Sept which was also anglicized to 'Bishop'. Descendants bearing this name can today be found mostly in the Province of Ulster. There are a number of variants including Clusby, Glashby and Glaspy.

Thank you

Betty Gaines
